Descent from the Cross is an oil painting by the dutch painter and etcher Rembrandt van Rijn. It was painted in 1634. This painting (158 x 117 cm) is currently housed in the Hermitage, St. Petersburg. A later (1651) version of the painting is in the National Gallery of Art, Washington.
