Ballet Rehearsal on Stage is oil on canvas painting by the French artist Edgar Degas. It is painted in 1890. Degas painted a series of ballet dance related paintings and this is one of them. His dancers are beautiful in color and composition and highly appreciated by art critics. It depicts some ballet dancers on Stage doing Rehearsal. The painting is now in the collection of the Musée d'Orsay, Paris, France. The Rehearsal of the Ballet Onstage, probably 1874 Edgar Degas (French, 1834–1917) Oil colors freely mixed with turpentine, with traces of watercolor and pastel over pen-and-ink drawing on cream-colored wove paper, laid down on bristol board and mounted on canvas
