السيرة الذاتية

Park Young-tak's musical journey began early. His grandfather, a music teacher and composer, significantly influenced him. He was a member of Andong MBC Children’s Choir, demonstrating an early aptitude for music.
He faced personal challenges including rhinitis and a serious accident in high school that resulted in broken ankles requiring permanent screws. Despite these setbacks, he pursued his musical aspirations.
Park's education includes degrees from Cheongju University (Advertising and Public Relations) and Kookmin University Graduate School of Arts (Practical Music Composition). He also served as an Adjunct professor at Sehan University.
Early recognition came in 2004 when he won first prize at the Yeongnam Song Festival, using the winnings to relocate to Seoul and pursue a singing career.

2004-2015: Ballad Beginnings – Park initially focused on ballad music, contributing OSTs for dramas and movies like "Marrying the Mafia II" (2005). He won a rookie singer contest in 2007, releasing his debut digital album 'Youngtak's DISIA'.
Forming Groups: Let It Be & L-Class – In 2008, he formed the duo "Let It Be," contributing to OSTs. Subsequently, he joined “Country Kids’ Soul” (later renamed L-Class), a four-member ballad group where he wrote their debut song "Please Don't Go." The group disbanded in 2011.
J-Symphony – He then formed the ballad duo J-Symphony with Min Geum-yong, releasing singles and contributing to drama OSTs before parting ways in 2012. During this period, he also worked as an OST singer and songwriter for various artists.
Park G (Park-Ji) – In 2014, Park formed the multi-genre duo Park G with Ji Kwang-min (MinZi), continuing his songwriting and production work.
Mr. Trot & "Jjiniya" (2020): His career reached a new peak in 2020 when he participated in the TV Chosun audition show “Mr. Trot,” placing second out of 17,000 contestants. This catapulted him to widespread fame with his hit song "Jjiniya," solidifying his position as a prominent figure in the trot music scene.

Trot Music: Young Tak is primarily known for his contributions to Korean trot music, a genre characterized by its distinctive rhythms, melodies, and often sentimental lyrics. His performances are energetic and engaging, appealing to a broad audience.
Ballad Influence: His earlier work in ballads demonstrates versatility and a strong vocal foundation that informs his current style. This background allows him to infuse emotion and depth into his trot performances.
Traditional Korean Music: The influence of his grandfather's musical heritage, rooted in traditional Korean music, is evident in his appreciation for melody and composition.

Park Young-tak’s success on “Mr. Trot” significantly contributed to the renewed popularity of trot music in South Korea, attracting a younger audience to the genre.
His hit song "Jjiniya" became an instant classic, demonstrating his ability to connect with listeners through relatable lyrics and captivating melodies.
He continues to be a popular figure in Korean entertainment, actively releasing new music, appearing on television shows, and engaging with fans. His journey from ballad beginnings to trot stardom exemplifies the evolving landscape of Korean music.
