Adel Abdessemed is an Algerian-French contemporary artist, born in 1971 in Constantine, Algeria. He has worked in a variety of media, including animation, installation, performance, sculpture and video. Some of his work relates to the topic of violence in the world. He has studied at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon.
