Jana Brike is a figurative painter born in Riga, Latvia in 1980. She studied painting at the Latvian Academy of Art and received her Master's degree in 2005. Brike's work is characterized by whimsical, magical scenes and she describes her paintings as a 'poetic visual autobiography'. Her style is influenced by Lowbrow art.
