Maurizio Savini is an Italian sculptor known for making art out of chewing gum. He was born in Roma in 1962. He has been commissioned as stage designer by Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Salzburg Easter Festival, and held several dozen exhibitions. He was awarded a Cité internationale des arts scholarship by the city of Paris in 2005. He studied architecture at La Sapienza University of Rome and in 1989, he attends the atelier of Gianni Dessì. His works have been exhibited in several galleries and museums, including the Palazzo delle Esposizioni of Rome, Italy and the Mucciaccia Gallery. He lives and works in Rome.
