Georges-Eugène Causard lived his life within the boundaries of Paris, France. Born in 1853, he moved through the late nineteenth century, a period marked by shifting tastes in decorative arts. The traces of his work remain in collections such as the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington. Through these objects, one can observe the technical choices made during the eighteenth century's transitional style.
