Born in Myeik in 1901 and raised in Dawei, he emerged from humble beginnings to become one of the most celebrated painters of the post-World War II era in Burma. His journey began with self-taught skills honed through American correspondence courses, a
testament to his early dedication and thirst for artistic knowledge.
