Elektrisches Ei, auch de la Der Physiker Auguste De La Rive (1801 - 1873) wird mit dem Namen seines Erfinders zur Untersuchung und Beobachtung der seltenen Gasentladung verwendet. Es handelt sich um ein Glasei, in dem zwei Eisen-Kleinpole in zwei kleinen Kugeln enden, die über Klemmen mit positivem Pol und negativem Pol verbunden werden können. Am unteren Ende dieses Instruments befindet sich ein Hahn, um den Behälter mit Vakuumpumpe zu verbinden.
