Napoleón frente al presunto hogar de Nicolaus Copernicus, que visitó en 1812. Según la teoría establecida en 1740 por Samuel Luther Geret (el último alcalde de Toruń antes de las particiones), se creía que el hogar familiar era el incesante descanso de esquina en la calle Kopernika 40 (antes calle St. Anna, esquina de la calle Piekary). Para enfatizar esta teoría, el alcalde tenía un monumento específico de ocasión construido frente al astrónomo
