Thomas Cromwell, primer conde de Essex, KG, PC (1485–1540), conocido como 1er Barón Cromwell de Wimbledon entre 1536 y 1540, fue un estadista inglés que sirvió como jefe de ministro del rey Enrique VIII de Inglaterra de 1532 a 1540. La pintura (76 × 61 cm) está en la Colección Frick, Nueva York.
