Early Life and Artistic Foundations Donald Onuoha, a distinguished voice in contemporary Nigerian painting, was born in the vibrant metropolis of Lagos in 1971. From an early age, he demonstrated a keen sensitivity to form and color, a natural inclination that led him to pursue formal training at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) in Enugu. He wasn’t merely seeking technical skill; Onuoha was driven by a desire to understand
the very language of visual expression.
