Head of a Stag is a oil painting by the Spanish painter Diego Velazquez. It was painted in 1626-27. Philip IV was a bold and enthusiastic huntsman, and he wanted his court painter to record the stags he had killed for posterity. This painting (66,5 x 52,5 cm) is currently housed in the Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence.
