Academic Pursuits

Karapetyan's academic journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara (1947-1948), followed by a year at the University of Southern California (1949). He later earned his master's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1961.

Despite his late start in the art world, Charles Karapetyan's artistic career flourished in the late 1960s. His work is characterized by its rich references to Greek and Chinese symbolism, reflecting his deep fascination with these cultures.
