Biografija:
Doyle Lane was an innovative Los Angeles-based artist working as a ceramicist from the 1950s into the 1990s. Born in New Orleans, Lane moved to Los Angeles where he studied at the University of Southern California with F. Carlton Ball, Ken Price, Vivika Heino, and Glen Lukens. He was one of the few Black Los Angeles artists who made their living working only in art through the 1960s to 1980s. Lane's work ranged from delicate vases and bead necklaces to large architectural commissions and wall-sized works he called 'clay paintings.' He is best known for his vibrant glazes that bubbled lusciously, cracked sharply, and dripped dangerously off the edges of meticulous little pots.
