Biografi:
Zbysław Marek Maciejewski was a Polish painter and pedagogue, born on June 16, 1946 in Pohulanka, Poland and died on October 2, 1999 in Kraków, Poland. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and received his diploma in 1969 from the workshop of Wacław Taranczewski. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and taught at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw. He traveled extensively in southern Europe and his work often featured exotic plant life and architecture. He was known for his portraits, mythological scenes, allegories, and religious themes, as well as his frequent depictions of children. He considered his work to be a contemporary continuation of modernism. In 1998, he was awarded the Witold Wojtkiewicz Award by the Krakow branch of the Polish Artists' Association. He was the uncle of journalist Łukasz Maciejewski.
