Recognizing her innate talent for styling and tailoring, she pursued a marketing degree at Hertfordshire University, sharpening her understanding of consumer behavior and strategic branding. This academic foundation complemented invaluable insights gained from her career in change management, honing her observational skills and fueling her creative process. The distinctive aesthetic of Na Forrer originates in Farhanna’s admiration for power dressing—the confident silhouettes and assertive tailoring championed by influential figures who dared to defy convention. Driven by a desire to translate this inspiration into garments that embraced diversity while subtly conveying sophistication, she meticulously selected fabrics like Songket, Brunei’s iconic silk and gold thread weaving tradition. A transformative moment arrived with the reimagining of “Baju Kebaya,” a traditional Malay dress symbolizing femininity and grace. This couture design incorporates elements of Bruneian heritage—specifically a corset crafted from Songket fabric—historically worn by brides and grooms during ceremonial occasions and royal celebrations. The boxy shoulder embodies empowerment and modernity, mirroring Farhanna’s dedication to blending tradition with stylistic innovation. Collaborations with artist Lully Selb on the euca silk design further enrich each garment's artistic expression.
