ritratto è raffigurato seduto. Augustinus van Rijckevorsel è raffigurato in posizione di tre quarti, il suo volto è usato a destra (a sinistra per lo spettatore), le mani piegate nel giro. E' vestito con un cappotto scuro con pantaloni grigi. Una vecchia foto per il restauro mostra che il suo alto colletto bianco è cambiato con sovrapposizione e un pezzo sciolto di collare è stato aggiunto al posto del suo collo. Lo sfondo è tenuto sobrio, una parete da camera con carta da parati vagamente marcata. Un plinto scuro e stile porta inquadrano la figura. Appartene al ciondolo di moglie Maria Francisca Louisa Dommer van Poldersveldt.
