Georgi Mitov è il fratello minore dell'artista Anton Mitov. Studiò presso l'Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti di Torino (1893-1898) sotto il prof. Giacomo Grosso, con una medaglia d'oro. A causa della morte precoce dell'artista, il suo patrimonio creativo è costituito da ritratti di giovani donne italiane, così come nudi, che ha dipinto come studente. Sono composte con un certo senso di colore e con sfumature applicate con una spazzola leggera ed energica.
