Questo ritratto acquerello di un funzionario Qajar, possibilmente Nasir al-Din Shah" primo ministro Amir Kabir, è tipico del periodo Nasiri. Il lettino indossa un cappello astrakhan conico e una veste paisley broccata in pelliccia. Il suo sguardo piercing e le sue caratteristiche cesellate sono sorprendenti. Come con molti ritratti del periodo, la sua veste è ricamata con perle e gioielli, e intorno al suo collo indossa un medaglione a forma di diamante che porta il ritratto del re dominante, Nasir al-Din Shah. Il dipinto è firmato da Abu"l Hasan III Ghaffari (noto anche come Yahya Ghaffari), che era il terzo figlio del famoso pittore di corte Abu"l Hasan Ghaffari (noto come Sani al-Mulk) ed è datato A.H. 1294/A.D. 1877.
