the bathers ( Francese : les baigneuses ) è un dipinto ad olio su tela realizzato tra 1918 e 1919 dai francesi painterPierre-Auguste Renoir . dopo essere stato ceduto allo stato dai suoi tre pollici 1923 , è attualmente conservato al musée d'Orsay a parigi . Ci sono due gruppi di donne nude : due modelle distese in primo piano e tre bagnanti sullo sfondo , sulla destra . uno dei modelli di questo dipinto è l'andrée hessling , che divenne la prima moglie di Renoir's figlio , Jean . L'ambientazione naturale esposta nel dipinto era il grande giardino della casa di proprietà del pittore Cagnes-sur-Mer .
