Juan Gris' 'Still la vita con la finestra aperta , Ruta Ravignan' è un classico esempio dello stile che contiene la maggior parte delle caratteristiche visive della tecnica cubista . . nella pittura cubista gli artisti descrivono oggetti reali , ma non da un punto di vista fisso come in prospettiva . Combinano diversi punti di vista di un soggetto in un'unica immagine . L'intera idea di spazio è stata riorganizzata – la parte anteriore , la parte posteriore e i lati del soggetto diventano elementi intercambiabili . Le immagini cubiste uniscono il artist’s osservazione con la loro memoria del soggetto per creare una evocazione poetica del tema .
