The Sculptor of Romanian Myth and Monumental Form Pavel Bucur (1945–2016) emerged from the cultural landscape of Bistrița, Romania, as a visionary sculptor whose work bridged the gap between the ancient whispers of folklore and the imposing grandeur of modern monumentalism. His artistic journey began with rigorous academic training at the Institute of Fine Arts ‘Nicolae Grigorescu’ in Bucharest between 1965 and 1971. It was within thes
