The Artistic Evolution of Peter Brüning
Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, Peter Brüning was a painter, sculptor, university teacher, draftsperson, and photographer. His early artistic development was fostered by his parents, leading him to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. During his formative years, his work was characterized by drawings and an engagement with Expressionism and Cubism. His travels included a period as a UNESCO fellow in Soisy-sur-Seine, France, where he explored the surrounding regions of France and Spain.
