Born in Thann, France, Charles Walch was a versatile visual artist who mastered the disciplines of painting, sculpture, and printmaking. Walch's career saw significant recognition, including receiving a gold medal at the Exposition universelle de Paris in 1937 and being named a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur.
