Svend Einar Bjørn Rønne lived a life defined by the careful observation of his surroundings. Born in 1868, this Danish figure moved through the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries with a dual focus on the creation and the preservation of art. In 1891, he produced Parti fra Nyhavn, an oil on paper mounted on canvas that looks toward the canal scenery of Nyhavn.
