Born in Dordrecht, Netherlands, Alexander Wüst was a painter, watercolorist, and draftsman who dedicated his career to the depiction of natural vistas. The son of the artist Christoffel Wüst, he received his artistic training from his father. His early life involved a move from the Netherlands to the United States, where he began exhibiting his work in various American cities, including New York, Philadelphia, and Cincinnati.
