In this setting, Castagna applied his skill in preparing enamels and firing pieces to a collaborative creative process.

As he moved his workshop to Costermano sul Garda, his ambitions grew toward the monumental. His later years saw him participating in large-scale initiatives that utilized industrial materials like steel and cement. Notable works from this era include:
