Wojciech Kolataj, also known as Wojciech Kołłątaj, was a Polish Roman Catholic priest, reformer, and politician born on April 1, 1750, in Dederkały Wielkie, Poland. He was a prominent figure in the Polish Enlightenment and served as Deputy Chancellor of the Crown between 1791-92. Kołłątaj was a social and political activist, political thinker, historian, philosopher, and polymath. He played a significant role in the reforms of the Great Sejm and was exiled for his political activities. Kołłątaj died on February 28, 1812, in Warsaw, Poland.
