Jose Antonio Gonzalez de la Pena was a Spanish painter. He was born in Madrid, Spain in 1887 and died in 1961. Gonzalez de la Peña studied at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid and later moved to Paris where he became friends with famous artists such as Picasso and Utrillo. He participated in several exhibitions, including the Exposicion Nacional de 1910 and La Libre Esthetique in 1915. Gonzalez de la Peña's style was characterized by his realism and attention to detail. He painted a wide range of subjects, from portraits to landscapes and scenes of everyday life.
