Realism and Allegorical Landscapes
During the 1960s, Andrejević adopted a realist style that became a hallmark of his career. He became particularly known for creating allegorical landscapes that utilized settings within New York City's Central Park to depict themes from Greek myths. His work was recognized by critics, including Hilton Kramer, who noted his refinement and exquisite attunement to pictorial nuance.
His paintings have been exhibited in prestigious venues, including the Green Gallery, the Robert Schoelkopf gallery, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
