Dieric Bouts a fost un pictor flamand timpuriu care a activat în Leuven din anul 1457 până la moartea sa, în 1475. Născut la Haarlem, în Țările de Jos, acesta s-a impus ca un maestru al picturii și al desenului. Cariera sa remarcabilă include funcția de pictor al orașului Leuven, un statut pe care l-a obținut în anul 1468.
