During his studies, he was a member of the Corps Rheno-Palatia München. Following his service as a war artist in the First World War, which left him hard of hearing, he dedicated himself to his artistic creation. His body of work from this period included portraits of comrades, as well as sketches and drawings of weapons and war scenes rendered in watercolor, pencil, and charcoal.
Eber's artistic interests were diverse, ranging from landscape and athlete paintings to depictions of soldiers and SA men. He also created works featuring Native Americans, and some of his paintings are held in the Karl-May-Museum in Radebeul. His repertoire included various formats, such as:
Later Works and Recognition
