Héctor Basaldúa was born in Pergamino, in the Buenos Aires Province, in September 1894. His early years were shaped by a steady focus on the fundamentals of form and line. By 1923, his technical proficiency was recognized when he obtained his title as a Professor of Drawing. Training and Activity in Europe

He contributed to the 1932 Fausto lithographs and provided illustrations for Los consejos del Viejo Vizcacha in Martín Fierro .
