Aarón Salabarrías Valle is a Puerto Rican painter, printmaker, designer, photographer, and installation artist. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1964. Salabarrías initially studied engineering at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, but he left that institution to study art at the Puerto Rico School of Visual Arts. He has exhibited his work in various solo and group exhibitions, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Herald, and the Museo de Arte y Diseño de Miramar. Salabarrías's work often deals with mass-produced consumer imagery of the spiritual or the domestic. He is also known for his participation in the Novísimos, a poetic group in Spain in the 1970s.
