Mário Américo was a Brazilian masseur who worked for the Brazilian national team during the World Cups between 1950 and 1974. He was responsible for accelerating the recovery process and relieving the fatigue of the players. He was present in seven World Cups and was an important figure in the Brazilian team's success during this period. He died in 1990 at the age of 77.
