Jan Nepomucen Lewicki was a Polish painter and engraver born in Warsaw in 1795 and died in Paris in 1871. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow and at the University of Warsaw. He participated in the November Uprising of 1830-1831. He is known for his portraits and historical paintings.
