Pedro Abilio González Flores was a Mexican artist known for his maguey sculptures. He created figurines representing peasant scenes, musicians or dance troupes using the maguey plant as his medium. His works often depicted self-portraits of himself in his workshop surrounded by finished pieces and work tables. González Flores was also a musician and participated in dance groups. His grandson, Pedro González Páucar, continues to produce maguey figures today.
