He is best known for designing the Cauchie House in Brussels, Belgium in 1905, which is remarkable for its allegorical sgraffito decoration. Cauchie was a prominent figure in the Art Nouveau movement, and his work was often inspired by natural forms and characterized by a sense of dynamism and movement. He died in 1952.
