The Life and Artistic Practice of Erwin Pfrang
Born in Munich, Erwin Pfrang is a German painter, printmaker, and poet. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1974 to 1979, he spent many years working as an independent artist in Italy, specifically in Montepulciano, Val d’Orcia, and Catania. His career has also included stays in Munich and Augsburg, and he currently lives and works in Berlin. Pfrang is the grandson of the Munich folk comedian Konstantin Pfrang.
