The Life and Artistic Evolution of Ludwig Bartning
Born in Hamburg, Germany, Ludwig Bartning was a painter and illustrator whose career spanned several decades. After studying under Paul Schultze-Naumburg and attending the private school of Ludwig Schmid-Reutte and Friedrich Fehr in Munich, he spent time in Rome between 1898 and 1901.
