Lameire until 1910, and he later served as a painting professor at the École des Beaux arts. His artistic output was diverse, ranging from religious works to portraits and depictions of musicians.

Artistic Style and Technique
The style of Georges Décôte was characterized by a palette dominated by gray tones and themes revolving around sadness. In his religious decorations, he exhibited a preference for hieratism and the style of the "Primitives," sometimes creating panels that appeared archaizing in nature, such as his depictions of Saint-Thomas and Sainte-Thérèse. His approach was marked by scrupulous documentation of his subjects and a great precision regarding details and accessories, though he did not focus on developing symbolism. His work aligned with the sacred art movement situated between Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
