Evolution and Later Works
Throughout his life, Martini moved between Italy and other European cities, including Monaco, London, and Paris. His creative output was diverse, ranging from ink illustrations and lithographs to pastels and satirical journals. During the period of World War I, he designed a series of propaganda postcards titled Danza Macabra Europea. He also explored innovative ideas regarding theater and set design, which he published in the book Il Tetiteatro in 1923.
In his later years, Martini continued to produce expressive works, including a series of lithographs for the Life of the Virgin and poems by Rainer Maria Rilke. He remained an active painter until his death in Milan.
