George Shepherd, often identified by the name George "Sidney" Shepherd, was a distinguished British draughtsman and watercolourist whose work serves as a vital visual record of a transforming era. He worked frequently with the renowned publisher Rudolph Ackermann, contributing to celebrated series such as Ackermann's Repository of Arts.
