Between 1910 and 1911, he journeyed through Russia, Siberia, China, Japan, and India, followed by travels to South and North America from 1913 to 1914. He resided in the Ticino region from 1918 to 1923, with a home in Niederwil, Switzerland. From 1936 to 1950, he lived in the United States before returning to Vienna.
