His father, Harry Corbett, was a celebrated stage magician and entertainer, fostering an early appreciation for performance and visual spectacle—a legacy that would profoundly shape Peter’s own creative path. Educated at Bedford School and subsequently St John's College, Oxford, he excelled academically, earning a Thomas Whitcombe Greene Scholarship and Macmillan Student Award, demonstrating exceptional intellectual curiosity from a young age. His formative years were spent immersing himself in classical scholarship and art history, laying the groundwork for his lifelong fascination with both disciplines.
