Born in Troyes, France, Marot’s artistic journey began with formal training at the École Supérieure d'Arts et Industrie Graphiques (ESAIG) followed by admittance to the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1945, where he honed his skills and established a foundation for his future endeavors. His academic pursuits extended beyond Parisian borders, culminating in studies at Harvard University and securing the prestigious Prix de Rome to delve into classical architecture at Villa Medici between 1955 and 1958.
