An Encyclopedia of Art, Open to All
WikiOO.org is an encyclopedic reference covering 400,000 famous classic artworks — their artists, movements, museums, and provenance — in dozens of languages.
Who we serve
We built WikiOO for university students, academics, teachers, journalists, and curious researchers who need a reliable, multilingual reference for artists, artworks, movements, and museums — free of sales pressure.
What we sell
- Digital image licenses for study, publishing, and media
- Archival prints on cotton canvas or Epson archival canvas paper
- Hand-painted reproductions on linen canvas, made by trained painters on request
Ordering is always optional — the encyclopedia is free to use, with no account required.
Who we are & our mission
Every one of our 400,000 artwork pages gives you the documented facts: dates, dimensions, mediums, movements, museum locations, and provenance — presented factually and objectively, so you can rely on what you read.
We focus on data richness and multilingual accuracy — students cite us in papers, teachers build lessons from our pages, journalists verify facts here.
Our mission: to keep reliable art knowledge open, accurate, and accessible to everyone, in every language we can reach.
