Collaborative Landscapes and Sonic Evolution
The 1980s bring the energy of the Atlanta rock group Follow for Now. As frontman, Harris leads a band that defies easy categorization, blending elements ranging from Motown to thrash metal. This era provides a launching pad, leading to a record deal with Chrysalis Records and a self-titled album released in 1991 under the production of Brendan O'Brien. The band tours alongside diverse acts such as Pearl Jam and Fishbone.

By 1997, he launches a solo career with Columbia Records. The path continues through the trio Brand New Immortals, signed to Elektra Records by Lars Ulrich of Metallica, which produces the album Tragic Show in 2001.
A significant chapter unfolds between 2004 and 2012. Harris occupies a central role in John Mayer’s touring band, providing both vocals and guitar. This period of high-profile performance is punctuated by further collaborations with artists such as:
