A Life of Art and Letters
Gunnar Neeme was an Estonian-Australian artist, book illustrator, and writer. Born in Tartu, Estonia, he studied at the Pallas Art School between 1937 and 1943. Following the end of the Second World War, he continued his art studies in private studios in Germany from 1946 to 1949, during which time he also served as a drawing teacher for members of the US Army.
